Janean C. Armstrong

Retail Market President, VyStar Credit Union

Janean C. Armstrong is a financial leader with 28+ years of experience driving growth and community impact. She began her career at Bank One before joining SunTrust (now Truist), where she led 500 employees across Maryland and Northern Virginia. In 2018, she became a Wells Fargo Regional Leader in South Atlanta.

She joined VyStar in 2023 as Market President for Georgia and was promoted in 2025 to Retail Market President for Georgia and Florida, overseeing 80+ banking centers.

A dedicated community advocate, she supports I Am B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L, Lift Atlanta, the USO, and Habitat for Humanity, and champions small‑business empowerment through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the One Hundred Black Women of Metropolitan Atlanta. Her leadership has earned national recognition, including features on HBO Max, the Game Changers cover, and multiple “Top 50 Women” honors.
